Screencast

For my screencast I gave an example of an assignment I would give to my students after having read the book Bud Not Buddy. It includes how to insert a table to compare and contrast two characters from the book as well as a hyperlink to the website where they got information from and a picture to illustrate the book they read. If experienced in Microsoft Word it is not a difficult task, but for elementary students, this is a task they may not be familiar with.

Just as you, I am always looking for a way to make the process of things easier for my students so that they can focus more on demonstrating their understading of something and less on figuring out how to set up an activity or project. I love the way you used the chart for a venn diagram sort of activity as well as how you inserted more than just one type of format (chart, link, photo) into the activity. I, too, did my screencast on how to set up something the kids are working on (how to set up their paper for writing) and it just seems like this would help students get started must faster (helps with keeping them away from distractions) as well as to keep us from losing our minds having to repeat something a million times. Thanks for the idea and nice job!
